Hello all! First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoy viewing the photos just as much as I like taking them! So, a little about me:
I graduated from BGSU in 2006 with a graphic design degree, took several photography courses in college as well because it is obviously a passion of mine. My first job out of college was an in-house graphic design job at a cubicle. It was such a great start for me, however, I had a need to be even more creative. In May of 2011 I quit my full time job to pursue freelance graphic design and my new found passion, photography. I have always loved looking at photos and taking photos. To me, a picture can say so much!!! I feel like I am truly creating artwork that invokes an emotion with my photography.
I am also a soccer coach/trainer. I grew up playing soccer, and it is also another huge passion of mine. I played at BGSU for four years as well, and right after graduation I started coaching because I couldn't stand being away from the game!
Needless to say, I love kids! Their sense of imagination and curiosity is so inspiring to me! Most of the time in my photo sessions, I play with the kids so they can relax and then their little personalities come out and I don't even have to pose them because they are just so unique in what they do.
I have a HUGE family! 4 sisters, no brothers, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Each of my sisters are so different yet we all still get along (We are all within 6 yrs of each other, so needless to say, I have a supermom!). My parents are just as amazing and supportive of me taking this huge leap to go out on my own and pursue my dreams!
I have an amazing supportive boyfriend who I absolutely love! He puts up with me working endless nights on my work and busy schedules on the weekends. He's perfect for me! :)
I have two dogs, Timi (1 yr old Shepard/Lab mix) and Lanie (Shepard/Collie/Beagle mix). Needless to say, they are a rowdy handful but I love it. They are both very active dogs, but Timi always likes to join my on my runs (Lanie is just a little runt still, but hopefully she'll eventually join us!). I'm sure you'll see a few posts of them as well!
In my photography, I like to capture the very natural moments between you and your loved one(s). When I capture a child's laugh, two people laughing together, or that little grin that one gives...I truly feel like I'm creating art; a piece of work that evokes a feeling. I hope that you enjoy these little moments as much as I do!
Oh, and if you are wondering why I don't write much...it's because I like my photos to do the storytelling!
